We are looking for a professional, reliable and highly skilled Service Consultant. In this position your primary focus will be on increasing customer satisfaction and post-sales revenue through the consultative selling of Service products (e.g. maintenance agreements, training, parts packages, IIoT solutions, etc.). You will be responsible for regular customer care visits which will focus on relationship development, making sure customer’s needs/ concerns are clearly known to TRUMPF and appropriate communication and action are taken as quickly as possible. The ability to multi-task, while managing multiple customer related topics is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is critical to success in this position.


Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop trusting relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to our competitors
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Manage key accounts and ensure excellent customer support
  • Proactively promote service agreements to improve customer equipment up-time
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
  • Expanding customer relationships with new and existing customers by continuously proposing solutions to their needs
  • Serve as a liaison between key customers and internal teams
  • Resolve difficult customer issues with the highest level of professionalism and sensitivity
  • Assist in creating sales protocols and procedures designed to increase conversion rates
  • Work closely with Business Development Administrator to ensure the customer’s needs are understood so they can prepare a suitable quotation in a timely fashion
  • Maintain customer contact activities in our CRM as part of the Customer Care Concept
  • Assess the condition of customers’ equipment and make recommendations for improvement 
  • Review internal systems and databases to identify additional opportunities to contact customers and identify unsolicited opportunities with the goal of filling all classes and increasing the number of active maintenance agreements
  • Preparation of regularly scheduled reports and/ or presentations
  • Organize and schedule appointments and meetings as required
  • Ability to receive and act appropriately on developmental feedback
  • Any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management
  • Adhere to all company guidelines


  • Business travel for meetings and/or training will be required (<50%), this may require occasional overnight stays
  • Must maintain Valid Driver’s License 
  • Must be eligible for a passport and able to travel internationally

Your profile

Physical Requirement

  • Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office, and ability to conduct normal amount of work on a computer

Education & Experience

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Strong technical background with laser and automation-based equipment
  • Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis, document findings and explain to internal and external customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience in a customer centric role
  • At least 5 years of experience in resolving customer escalations
  • Associates degree in related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
