Summary

 This position is responsible for providing technical support and supervisory direction to the Field Service Engineers in addition to technical support and consultation to TRUMPF customers by continuing to develop the TRULASER Cell Service Group.

 Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  •  Supervise, direct, evaluate and improve performance of TRULASER Cell Field Service Engineers and communicate with the customers effectively
  • Supervise and direct all Field Service Engineers in rotation and coordination with other Supervisors
  • Provide technical phone and tele diagnostics support to customers, distributors and Field Service Engineers
  • Manage relevant quality processes and measures related to the team
  • Provide optimal scheduling of service calls utilizing both internal and external resources
  • Effectively accommodate customer needs for expedited 24/7/365 service and parts
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, closing all open issues
  • Take active role in providing and directing the 24/7/365 TUSD Extended Service coverage
  • Interface with all TRUMPF departments, and customers worldwide, to include Germany, USA, Canada and Mexico as necessary to promote sales, answer questions and resolve technical problems
  • Resolve difficult customer issues with professional sensitivity
  • Maintain ownership of responsibilities
  • Work in coordination with management with minimal detail direction
  • Any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management
  • Adhere to all company guidelines

 Travel

  •  Up to 15% as needed
  • Must maintain Valid Driver’s License
  • Occasional overnights as needed

Your profile

Physical Requirement

  •  Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office, and ability to conduct normal amount of work on a computer

 Education & Experience

  •  Two year technical school degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of training and work experience
  • Minimum three years of previous experience in technical service
  • Previous supervisory and project management experience preferred
  • Field service and In-House technical support experience strongly preferred
  • Strong electrical and computer systems background, along with, strong diagnostic experience required
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
