Product Manager Datacom (m/w/d)

Your role
- Manage the product portfolio in Datacom for TRUMPF Photonic Components GmbH (a leading manufacturer of VCSEL and Photodiodes for data center application)
- Define a product roadmap that meets the current and future need of the industry
- Collect input form the market on desired product features and translate into product requirement specifications
- The Jobholder is co-responsible for product introduction in the market
- Manage the life cycle of the current product portfolio and manage for maximum profit
- The function is closely cooperating with the product development group for creation of new products
Your profile
- Master’s degree in physics or electrical engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in product development and/or product marketing
- Experience in
- strategic marketing methods and processes
- optical data transmission technologies, notably transceivers and active optical cables
- industry standards (like IEEE) and schedules of the relevant standardization boards - Good business acumen with affinity to start-up and growth businesses
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Good English proficiency
- Willingness to travel (20% of working time)
