Your role
- Lead component target costing and design-to-value activities within development projects
- Track agreed improvement measures till implementation, define and monitor KPIs, improve overall process
- Support projects with good skills in cost estimation of parts costs with solid understanding of manufacturing processes and costs in sheet metal design and other technologies
- Support with concurrent product costing in development projects in coordination between production and purchasing
- Work on a broad variety of products with different technologies
- Control costs for new products from the first estimate in early design stage to series production in constant coordination with development and production
- Planning and implementation of internal and supplier workshops
- Work in a matrix organization to drive cost reduction projects
Your profile
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with proven success
- Mechanical or automation engineering, focus on machine tools.
- 5+ years work experience, with proven success in field of target costing, cost improvements projects
- Proficient in related processes in cost reduction, experienced in collaborating with R&D or own background in machine design, industrial engineering background knowledge, purchasing processes preferred
- Good English, oral and written, additional German a plus
- Observe the regulations on the Employee’s Handbook and Code of Conduct of TRUMPF China
