National Sales Manager, Power Tools

Your role

The National Sales Manager, Power Tools will be responsible for all outside Sales/Marketing activities and achieving sales figures for all regions in the continental US, including Canada and Mexico. This includes the development and strengthening of the existing sales approach and network. The position is responsible for managing all product related issues, such as coordinating the product demonstrations for customers, as well as supporting sales of the related product. The position receives its professional guidance from the global product center of the Power Tools division in Switzerland and will align goals closely with that team. Responsibility for USMCA power tool market and the realization of the ambitious growth plans lies with the national sales manager.  

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

 

  1.      Analyze the existing sales approach including the current dealer network of TRUMPF for the sale of power tools in NAFTA region ( USA, Canada & Mexico)
  2.      Adapt the existing or develop a new sales approach as per the result of the analysis
  3.      Implement the newly defined sales and marketing strategy for the region
  4.      Strengthen the existing and develop new dealers and repair centers within the region
  5.      Analyze and define sales territories within the dealer network
  6.      Support dealers, in coordination with the existing Product Manager, Power Tools, regarding technical and commercial aspects as well as sales trainings
  7.      Develop and implement new sales contracts for dealers including an incentive system if necessary
  8.      Set up sales and revenue targets for dealers together with the professional management team
  9.      Conduct continuous market analysis and prepare feedback for the management
  10.   Identify new customers and market segments for TRUMPF Power Tools
  11.   Further development of the US based Power Tools team to achieve the ambitious sales goals in the NAFTA regions
  12.   Position will be located in the Farmington area and will require up to 50% travel

Your profile

Four to six years working experience  with the sale of power tools. Must be able to set up and establish a dealer network. The position requires excellent strategic skills to amend the existing set, strong problem solving skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.

 

Education

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field strongly preferred.
