The Sustainable Management and Security Department provides technical, engineering, and regulatory compliance guidance and support for all functions of TUS operations in North America. In particular, the Sustainable Management and Security Department assesses risk and assures compliance with the environmental, occupational safety, and security regulations that apply to the TRUMPF Inc. production and field service operations in the United States. The Service Safety Engineer, reporting to the Safety and Environmental Manager, would have assignments in a broad range of occupational safety tasks related to our service operations.
Principle duties of the Service Safety Engineer would involve a mix of engineering, technical and administrative tasks, largely dependent upon the current business needs and activities. These duties will include:
Five or more years of demonstrated occupational safety work experience in a technical service environment such as rigging, machinery installation, electrical contracting, or similar general industry or construction business. Prior demonstrated work experience applying federal and state occupational safety regulations within a combination manufacturing and service business model. Excellent verbal, written and digital communication skills; including data analysis, regulatory research, technical report preparation and presentation skills, and working in remote teams. Excellent time management and independent work skills to plan and organize a multitude of concurrent assignments, with a focus on meeting deadlines and providing deliverables on time.
Bachelor’s degree in an environmental or occupational health and safety-related field of study, or other allied engineering/technology field such as chemistry, electrical or mechanical engineering.
