Principle Duties & Responsibilities

1.1. Assist with pre-sales technical support on customer projects, including telephone support, technical presentations, quoting, development of cost sheets & pricing analysis, close contact & communication with other TUSD Product & Project Managers, TUSD service, TUSD Applications, TUS/D Marketing, and TRUMPF Germany (CM- Country Management)
1.2. Gather and communicate market, technology, and competitor information, identifying market requirements to Product Managers at TLD and the Market Intelligence Team at TUSD. Develop yearly forecast for assigned products in North America.
1.3 Define and implement product strategy with respect to global strategy and competitor analysis.
1.4. Conduct direct sales activities / accompany sales force to customer visits when needed as a technical resource.
1.5. Act as center of technical & commercial product knowledge within TUSD for assigned products.
1.6. Develop and/or adapt from TLD PMs all sales tools (e.g. presentations, operating costs, data sheets, price lists)
1.7. Product training of sales engineers, integrators, distributors and end-users
1.8. Assist at industry specific Trade Shows, Exhibitions and Conferences as required and support generating leads. Define and coordinate symposiums with Marketing (e.g. symposiums at TUSD, TUS, TMX or at strategic customer sites) in cooperation with Industry Management.
1.9. Give technical presentations for customers or for other specific audiences (conferences, trade shows, special events, etc.)
1.10. Write technical publications for magazines and conference proceedings
1.11. Lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for new systems & lasers as required, along with special solutions sales releases (e.g. products without existing NPI)
1.12. Routine training and update training at TRUMPF in Germany to assure a high level of competency and updating of product knowledge
2.1. Support and consult relevant stakeholders (such as distributors, integrators, end-users, TRUMPF sales organization, and TUSD service) in questions regarding software licensing, controls and electrical interface requirements for systems & lasers.
2.2. Management and processing of customer orders, including order process documentation requirements, initiation & support of kick-off meetings, routine project status meetings, and on-site run-off logistical support when necessary
2.3. Work closely with TRUMPF Germany, contract administration, logistics, service and applications to assure project communication, timing and budget targets are optimized
2.4. Confirm system & laser configurations in E2Q file sending to contracts administration
2.5. Training of sales engineers on project management topics
2.6. Assist Product Manager(s) in managing the TRUMPF laser product line
2.7. Support Product Manager(s) in New Product Introduction (NPI) process for new systems & lasers
